East Vancouver’s brewery district is wedged between Vancouver’s port & the multi-cultural neighbourhoods of Strathcona, Grandview-Woodlands & Hastings-Sunrise. A.K.A. “Yeast Van” we are a diverse group of breweries and distilleries, operating within an eclectic community of small industry, independent businesses & artists studios. While we each have something different to offer, you will find us united in our passion for crafting some of the best beer & spirits in the city.

New for August 2021:

Our annual collaboration is back, after a year off for COVID, and is now available in select private liquor stores along with a few government stores.  

Raspberry Rose was created in an attempt to emulate the eclectic nature of our neighbourhood. Fermented with a wine yeast and refermented on hundreds of pounds of raspberries to create a balanced yet complex and flavourful, fun summer sipper. Enjoy flavours and aromas of ripe red fruit, lychee and a subtle dry earthiness balanced by a bubble gum sweetness and medium body.

We love community and collaboration, so once a year we get together and celebrate our culture with a Yeast Van Collab beer. Available early November

This year, members of the Yeast Van Brewery District came together at Settlement Brewing to brew our collaboration beer.  Hitting Store shelves in early August, this collaboration is the result of a lot of dedicated people doing amazing things, both at their own breweries, and together under the Yeast Van Cooperative Banner.

The Cooperative will be donating the portion of each of the preceding businesses contributions, along with a portion of sales, to Diversity in Brewing, a most worthy and organization that promotes and fosters a diverse, respectful, safe, and welcoming brewing industry across Western Canada and beyond.
